She will be 2 in April. Everyday, sometimes twice a day, she will get a nose bleed. Sometimes it's just a little one, but other times, she has clumps of blood coming out of her nose. I took her to the doctor, and he said it was nothing to worry about, but I think I may want to get a second opinion....what do ya'll think? Anyone else had this problem?

My son will be 2 in April too but he has never had a bloody nose so heres a bump for ya..
For peace of mind I'd get a second opinion...but I can tell you my sister used to get nose bleeds ALL the time and it was nothing. Also, not sure where you live but it's super super dry here because of winter and I know my 2 year old won't keep her fingers out of her nose so that could be it too. And one more thing, a friend of mine's 2 yr old had an infection up in her nose b/c she had picked it so much - it was horrible. She had a big sore up there that stunk bad. Anyway, I'm sure it's not a big deal, but to ease your mind I'd have it checked out.
Try useing a vaporizer(sorry about spelling). I could be the air is dry. I know that helps my two girls.
is it dry in your house? often times in the winter the air gets really dry and causes nose bleeds. try a humidifier or boiling water on the stove to get moisture into the air and see if that helps. when it gets dry in our house my DH gets nosebleeds all the time.
Is she possibly picking it when she is out of your sight??
Is the air in your house too dry??
Karly has this problem too. we had to get her nose spray because she has really sensative blood vessels in there and they get dried out really easy. her first one was terrible and if it weren't for kmk i'd have lost my mind! some kids have nose bleeds... if she starts to act faint or looses color then i'd get her into the ER.
LOL whatcha doin here??
My 7 yr old got tons of nighttime nose bleeds when the weather turned cold. They were really scary but as soon as I put a humidifier in his room they stopped. His nose was just really dry. Maybe try keeping her nose moist & putting a humidifier in her room at night. I hope this helps, I know how scary they can be!
It never hurts to get a second opinion. My hubby used to get them like that when he was growing up... not so bad now but sometimes (very rare actually) he still does. When he was little the docs burned something (or at least that was how it was put to me by MIL, he says it was some sorta swab) but it didn't work. Good Luck!
