I just found out that I am preggers with my 2nd child. I had issues with breast feeding my dd. And now I want to get a breast pump so when the time comes I can have back up plan. What brands do you girls think is the best without getting too expensive
I used the Ameda Purely Yours - comparable to the Medela double electric pump, but a fraction of the price.
Are you looking for a pump for going back to work? Just to have one handy - kind of depends on your situation as to whether you need a double electric.
Just one to have just in case. I'm a Sahm. after having my dd I didn't have her latch on right which caused sores on my nipple that bleed like crazy every time that I breast fed her. so I stoped BF her for a few days to let the sores get a little better. By the time that I was able to bf her again I couldn't get a milk supply in no matter how much water or how much that I tried to BF her so this time I want to learn how to bf corectly and pump milk so I have enough milk for this baby. so I can be ready for whatever life throws at me

My "occassional" pump that I really liked was the Avent ISIS hand pump.
I had the medela swing & honestly I hated it. I ended up having to rent a double electric from the hospital. The medela swing was suggested at the breastfeeding class since I was also a SAHM & didn't think I would need a pump often but I found it to be slow, noisy & didn't have enough suction to get the milk out for me. I hope the breastfeeding goes well for you this time around!!
How much does it cost to rent one from the hospital?
