so tonight me and my 9 year old ds was watching that show dirty jobs, well on this episode he went to a pig farm. anyway, their was a scene where he had to get sperm out of a male pig and and breed a female pig. to make a long story short, ds started asking alot of questions about what thay was doing and what was that white stuff he was putting in the female. i think my face turned really red. lol! i just tried to answer his questions on a 9 year old level. and dh was sitting right their and did't say a word!!!! later i asked him why he did't help in the discussion, and he said it sounded like i had it covered. any of you other moms have this happen? ![]()

i am kinda glad dh did't say anything. lol! i think i did a pretty good job keeping the info on his level without saying to much.
I asked my mom about the facts of life after watching Looks Who's Talking - who remembers the intro scene?!?!? I was 8 years old, my mom's theory was she wasnt going to say until I asked so I did, it took me 3 days to get the whole situation straightened out.

I for one would have changed the Show to something more family friendly .. as for Dhwell its his job as the male to help his son learn about his body.. I think you did a good job answering the best you could.. you may have to educate yourself a bit more on how to tell a child about their body and there are books you can get that helps parents with this topic.. good luck and have a long talk wtih dh about his role in this

He is 9, you can talk normally to him about sex. Call the parts by their names, explain how it works.
