I've noticed that even people who aren't catholic give up something for Lent. I never have, but I was curious about you guys.
i actually forgot about lent. Yeah i'm a bad christian lol. but if I was I would say junk food
Nothing...we don't "celebrate" lent.
ice cream...and I'm athiest.
But the kids are being raised catholic...and I'm not a hypocrit. So I live without icecream:/
Today I can say I am PROUD to be from Massachusetts!!
Hey Mr. President....Can. You. Hear. Us. NOW!!!!!
DH gave up caffeine and I've given up candy and swearing. (I"m hoping the swearing doesn't come back, I'm really trying to stop)
Oh and we're not catholic, dh was raised catholic but isn't any longer. We're just regular Christians
I gave up coffee from coffee houses...so no yummy starbucks for me..
Screws just fall out all the time, the world's an imperfect place. John Bender: The Breakfast Club
We don't "Celebrate" it either
So glad I'm atheist.
My mom used to try to make us give up something for lent when I was a kid, I hated it! LOL
I am not Catholic, but I view lent as a test of will power and a good personal discipline. This year for lent I gave up internet shopping. I was never a shopoholic but I do enjoy not having to go to the store to buy certain things. I can tell you I have saved a lot of money because I have found that if I have to go to the store for it I might not actually need it.
Never celebrated it.
But can someone tell me what the draw of packzi is? I tried one, a cream filled one, and it was DISGUSTING,.
