 I wouldn't think so unless it was damaged in any way.

I'm pretty sure they say with any type of accident it is safest to replace the car seat.

Yes, because you can't see damage to the plastic so there's no way to know whether the seat is safe or not.  Even a minor accident can put pressure and stress on the seat.
