Space Bag storage bags...Anyone?

Has anyone bought these and used them? Do they work? I bought them today & plan on using them to put away all ds old clothes he out grew bc the storage bins are taking over the closets lol. I am hoping to get all of his clothes from newborn - 18 months in just a few bags. Any advice on how to get the maximum out of them?

I have used these on trips to other countries and they are AWESOME! The only thing you have to be careful of is not to pop the seal when you are letting the air out, go slowly. Depending on how many clothes he has I think you will get them all in there. I recommend folding this as "square" as possible so that you can get several stacks of clothes in there without wasting any space in between. The kind I had then zipped closed and you rolled the bag into a burrito to push out the air. Good luck!

I got some from Kmart the other day and I LOVE them already!

Make sure you fold everything and put it in there neatly.

Bumping cuz I've always been curious, lol.

My sister used an off brand and said they sucked, lol. But it sounds like the "real" ones work better.

I just bought them for the first time the other day. My DD has TONS of clothes (first grandchild) so we were running out of room in our small attic. I tried one and it was aweosme! I packed another one and it looks like some air has come back in. I'll try vacuuming out the air again and see it it works better. So far I'm 50-50 on them.

Thanks ladies. I have the ones you can vacuum the air out or roll the air out. The zipper kind of looks like it might break easily. Would you suggest that I don't overstuff them too mich?

I have a bunch. I honestly don't think they eliminate that much space, but I love them because they protect everything from moisture and dust and bugs and whatever. So everything I store in my basement, even pictures and stuff go into a space bag lol

just make sure you don't fill them past the fill line, I tried that with one and it broke :(

i tried those for my sons little clothes too but it didn't work very well.  i had the cube thing?  filled it with clothes and when i sucked out the air it only went down about 5 or 6 inches (it didn't fit in the cube!)  baby clothes just don't have much air in them i think.  but i had others, like the garment bags, that didn't work well for me either so maybe you'll have better luck!

We bought them bc my ds has 3 large totes full of clothes and our closet space is very limited. He was the 1st boy in our family so everyone went nuts with the clothes. Some he didn't even wear. I would donate or sell them but SO wants to keep making babies lol I'm preggo right now but we are having a little girl this time so I'm trying to make as much room as possible.thanks for your reply :)
