Grrrrr..

Hubby messaged me from work like 20min ago and said he was going to be working late tonight.  Then a little later he messaged me and said that one of his friends has a ticket to the hockey game tonight and if I minded if he went. I said ":\ I don't care" It's not like I can say no!  but that was as close as I could get lol and he's like "okay! We're off! Cya!" Grrrrr...

Aren't guys suppose to be mind readers and know "I don't care" means "hell no!!" lol

I just had to vent and get that out!  I do hope he has fun, and I have to work tonight so its not like I'll see him anyways.. Oh well.  I'm mostly slightly jealous.. I wanna go too :P

Sorry but I think it sounded like you gave him permission to go.

In most situations like this "I don't care" means YES. at least that is what it means when I'm asked permission for something and I say it.

I don't care means he can do whatever he wants...  If you mean no, say no.  If you mean yes, say yes.

Usually for me it means no! Oh well lol I just had to grumble about it.   He's just a booger for getting to go to the game and I'm stuck at home with two whiny crying kids!!

I am sorry, but "I don't care" is not even close to an objection. It simply imples that you have no real opinion either way.

Perhaps you should have said something more like "I wish you had given me more notice", or "Tonight? I'd really rather you didn't go, but it is up to you". Something that would have made it a lot more obvious that you weren't real crazy about the idea.

We've been together for almost 14 years.  Trust me, he knows exactly what "I don't care" means form me.. He just took it and ran ;)  I'm not mad.

LOL, for my dh "I don't care" really means "I don't care" but when HE says it I hear "no." So when he really doesn't care, I feel like he's telling me no! Man, it would just be easier if people always said what they meant and you heard what they said (and meant) lol =)
