Child that is a thief

OK.....i have a son that is 20 yrs old and he and two of his friends one is 21 &  30 something....they came into my home and stole over 7200.00 out of my safe. What would you do? Would you put your son in jail? Would you consider me a bad parent if i did?

unfortunately I think that you need to cause he is just gonna continue to do it to you and to other people untill he learns his lesson. I think that a parent should teach them this lesson before someone else has too. I would if it were me

Hell yes i would. I would teach here theres a consuqence to his actions no mater who it is. If you dont he will just keep stealing from you cuz he knows you wont do shit.

That much money at that age, uhhh, yeah!! That's like grand theft or something. Over a thousand is grand theft.  He's old enough to know better. if he'd only taken like a third of it, i wouldn't flip too hard.

call the cops, put his butt in jail. if he's willing to steal from family he will steal from anyone. personally, i would think worse of a parent who did not call the cops on their kid if the kid did something like that.
