pap smears check for cervical cancer, that has absolutly nothing to do with being a virgin. she should be getting one

Yes!  There are all kinds of genetical things that can go wrong.

 I think so....

Just b/c you are not having sex does not excude you from all the other things that could happen... you know like cancer!! I hope she get checked out ASAP... it would suck to find out she had something wrong with her for years but caught it too late bc/ she was too nieve to get a year check up.

Well it's not completely irrelevant.  the less sexual partners you have, the less likely you are to acquire the virus that causes cervical cancer.  So she is at less risk.. however, every woman should still get one to be on the safe side.

To each her own. If she doesnt want to get one done thats up to her. She should probably get it done to check for cancerous cells and such. Some people are scared to do it for that exact reason. They think ignorance is bliss.

a yearly exam checks for more than just cervical cancer. They do a good breast check too and that cancer is not discriminate.

I thought that you were supposed to start getting them at 18 OR when you became sexually active?

Yes. Because it is possible to have "woman" things wrong that don't have anything to do with sex.
