need birthday advise

my mom and my so both have birthdays next month. my moms is 4-5, my so is 4-7. i was going to have the party the same time we had the easter get together. i was going to have a surprise party. i need help with what to do on that day like what to eat, i have 1 cake already picked out now i need my moms,

 Ya know Idk if its a milestone bday or not but personally Id just buy a flavorful cake (black forest? Carrot cake?Vanilla bean?) and bring it to the easter celebration bring candles and sing happy bday.I think that alone would mean alot to them.

Ham, mashed potatoes, corn , peas, crescent rolls or whatever they like maybe a barbecue with ribs and chicken and pulled pork, etc.
