Seriously I am wondering why some people on here think that they are better moms because they dont have to put their kids in daycare. Because they have the option to stay home with them? I have stayed home with mine for 10 years and guess what? I am divorcing my husband so where does that leave me? Having to get a job thats where! Am I less of a mother because I am trying to support us? Because I have to work? WTF? You moms that say you will NEVER put your kids in daycare need to wake up, life isent all butterflies and roses.
I would never want to put my kids in daycare, but if I didn't have family to watch them I would have to so I could work. I feel lucky not to be forced to do it, but I would never think less of a mom who had to. They need to walk a mile imo.
See, I'm a working mom, but I will still never put my kids in a day care.. I'm not a better mom because of it, I've just got a huge family support plan.. I'm just personally NOT partial to day cares at all. This baby when born will go to work with me for the first 6 mths minimum, because my job LETS me do that. After that, it's off to gmoms for the day while I sleep (because I work night shift).
My mom died and my MIL is a nasty pig. SHe is just filthy! They get sick there. Right now I have my 15 year old watching them because I can pay him and he is doing online school so it works for us. He needs money and gets to play with the kids and it helps me out. He is really picky with them when someone has them to. But if he went to a traditional school, I would have to put them in daycare. I wouldnt have a choice. I am glad I am working part time so its not too much for everyone to handle.
Just stop feeding them is all I say. They get off on it. Its their right to do that. Does it make them look ridiculous..yep but again its their right.
I'm VERY lucky that my SO can watch our girls while I work. If not then they'd be in daycare.
I've been so lucky to have had a job working fulltime hours on the weekends and my mom has been able to watch kaden since he's been born. Now that he's 2 I would love to put him in daycare because he never gets to play with other kids much and he just loves to play. When I take him to the play place in the mall or mcdonalds he goes nuts! I don't think daycares are all bad. Not only do they make it possible for parents to work but also provide socialization for kids who otherwise wouldn't get it. -shrugs-
