if I have to eat one more egg or roast beef sandwich I am going to DIE of food boredom. So tell me, what were your favorite things to eat when you had GD? Or if you currently have it, same question.

I have already discovered that I can have air popped popcorn and that I can get away with mixing regular and diet ginger ale.

Okay I guess I need to clarify. I KNOW how to eat healthy. I KNOW how to moniter my sugars and I have been to a dietician, though I knew how to eat healthy and measure food before that as I am a bit of a health nut. I am asking what people LIKED to eat when they had this. I am sick of the same old.

My gyno and neonatalogist send me to the hospital for a class and they gave me a diet plan. It was a lot of food to eat but the best part was eating cereal. I hated eating all that food because I threw up so much.

I had it and I ate a whole lot of different foods. For breakfast I usually had a toast with either jelly or chicken breast, for lunch I had different veggies with a small piece of meat and sometimes a bit rice or potato and salad. Sometimes I had burgers, but I only took the downside of the burgerbread because it has so  many carbs. With the veggies I could eat as many as I wanted without it influencing my blood sugar results. There are so so many things you can and should eat besides eggs and roast beef sandwich. Just watch out for the starchy food like potatoes, noodles, rice and bread.

I agree. I can't follow that whole diet plan. It is too much food. I just try to eat healthy and watch my carbs and moniter my sugars.

I also went to a nutrition class which was very helpful.

Oh and for snacks I loved to eat unsweetened yogurt with fresh strawberries or mixed nuts.  If you want sweets you can also buy the little ice cups that don't have more then 15 crabs or I ate sugar free jellow.

I did not go to a nutrition class, but I did talk to the dietician. I already eat very healthy and understand nutrition very well to begin with. I know HOW to eat well, I just want ideas on what to eat that people enjoy while they have this.

Yes is better watch the food intake. I drank a lot of water too. I didn't gain a lb on my pregnancy. I  was also putting insulin 2 times a day. Are you?
