My son is 2 1/2 and sleeps with us about once a week. He moves around a lot in his sleep just like we do. He sleeps between us so it's not usually an issue but once hubby gets up in the morning I'm SO afraid he is going to fall off of the bed! He is used to rolling into the wall on his bed and if he rolls that way on ours he will just fall off of hubby's side. we have a tall bed too!
Anybody know of a rail that will fit a pillow top bed and fold down under the mattress when we are not using it?

I haven't seen bed rails for bigger beds. I'd be interested in one too, as my 2 year old still prefers to sleep in my bed. I do have the mattress and box spring right on the ground (no frame), so he's closer to the ground if he were to roll off of the bed.

My 2 yr old sleeps on a queen sized bed (don't ask) and his mattress is pretty thick, and I use two of the adjustable bed rails from First Years. You can get them just about anywhere. Most kids sleep either at the top or the bottom of the bed, so it should be plenty long enough to keep him safe, especially with you in the bed beside him. If he moves around a LOT, then you might have to get creative:-)

I have this one on our pillow top, king sized bed. It works great, and you can pop it up and it lays down next to the bed. I've used it through two kids. It works great.

I use the Safety 1st "no-gap" bed rail for our pillow-top mattress since our 1 year old sleeps with us, and we like it. We've been using it for about the last... 7ish months?
toys r us has a full-length one that tucks away between the matresses when not being used. I have it for my 2yo's bed and am quite happy with it. I'll see if I can find a link. I think it only extends far enough to be used with a full sized bed though.

Hmmm... I like that one because it folds completely out of the way. Thank you!
