ok i knew that would get someone to look lol...

i have a few questions.. One.. do your babies like to chew on thier diapers? clean of course.. every time i go to change my dds diaper (shes 7 months) she gets a hold of the diaper and chews on it.. then throws a fit when i take it away to cover her butt..

2. how old were your LOs when you started giving them snacks and what did you start with? i can not for the life of me remember when we started giving my older dd solid foods.. ie cheerios, those fruit puff things.. any comments would be great thanks!

Justin will be 2 in June and he still chews on his CLEAN diapers. Bugs the hell out of me.

We started giving him the puffs around 7 months and progressed from there. Now th ekid eats everything. Black olives are his favorite.

No way my son was ever allowed to chew on diapers.  The gel beads in those things are toxic!

As far as solid foods, he started with basic things (such as cherrios) around 7-8 months but he was the type who would chew baby food so I wasn't really worried about him choking.

DS loves the smell of the clean and go wipes. It's wierd. he sniffs them.

My kids never chewed on diapers but I'm sure they would have if I let them get a hold of one. My middle child chews on everything...it's sort of ridiculous. He just turned 2.

As far as snacky foods like that, around the time they can sit up unassisted and have good pincher finger control is when I started giving those melt in your mouth kind of snacks to my kids.

I'm pretty sure infants & toddlers do things they aren't "allowed" to. She didn't say she was like "Here, have a snack"..

DS doesn't chew his diapies, he wants to wear them like hats. lol

As for snacks, he was around nine months old. Get the ones that dissolve at first. It really helps with the fine motor skills, I think. At 21 months old, DS eats exclusively with a fork and a spoon. He's trying to learn to cut (with a plastic knife), already!

My son loved to chew on EVERYTHING and still does, he is 15 mo and chews on his shirts that he is wearing. on the second one we started with the graduate puffs and those gerber yogurt melts, they both completely disolve almost instantly so there is no choking hazard and he loved them!
