Please pray for me-UPDATE

I went to the dr's last week for routine blood work. Well it came back and my white blood cell count is up and so is my lymphocytes. They dr said that it might be leukemia or it might be some infection. But I have not been sick or had a fever so he thinks it is more than likely leukemia. I have to do more blood test tomorrow and then it is just a waiting game until those tests come back. If you could all please pray for me.

I mean I am only 23 this should not be happening to me. My boys are only 2.5 and 18mo. what would they do with out a mommy? I may be overacting a tad bit there. But I am really scarred and am thinking the worst. Please pray for me.

UPDATE: I am actually sitting in the hospital right now. I do have a form of Lymphoma but they do not know what one yet or how to treat it. I have to have a biopsy done of my spline and a bone marrow biopsy. Those are going to be done tomorrow. If you could please pray for me I would really appriciate it. Please keep this post bumped for me as well. I need all of the prayers that I can get.

UPDATE- Ok I know I have not updated in a while. But everything is just going so fast and I have had a lot to do. Anyways I have Adult Non Hodgkins Lymphoma- follicular. I have to start chemo on Tuesday. I will have it every 3 weeks for 6 cycles. So, until July. Then they will do a repeat bone marrow biopsy and a repeat CT scan to see if it is in remission or if I need more chemo. I am in really good spirits about everything. I am just praying that in July it will be gone and I will need no more chemo. I will keep everyone updated on how I am doing.

Update 2

Well chemo went fine yesterday, it took all day to just get 1 medicine. But I kept having reactions to the meds. Today went better only 90min long but I have been sick all day. But on the up side I have 1 round down and only 5 to go. Thank you for all of the prayers.

I can't believe he'd say he "thinks" it's lukemia before even knowing the full results, that is just ignorant! I hope and pray all your test come back negative and all will be fine!

Fingers crossed momma. FYI you dont NEED a fever for an infection. Nor do you need to be showing any sick symptoms. My little man fought off an infection for 6 months without a fever, or any other usual symptoms, like aches or whatnot. Just didnt gain weight.

Your doctor sounds like a moron for saying its probably cancer. After the results come back, I suggest finding a new one.

Oh I plan to. Last Thursday was the very 1st time I ever saw this dr. All I went in for was fatige, nausea and headache. I was thinking pregnancy not this. I am having these tests done and then I am going to a different dr for a second oppinion. My results that I do have do not even seem to be too high. I mean my White blood cell count was 33 on Thursday then 28 when I had my repeat blood work on Monday. Normal white cell count is 4.3-10.0. And my lymphocytes is 89 it is supposed to be 24.0-44.0. I am hoping it is just an infection of some sort. But he just kept saying leukemia over and over again.

I agree that he shouldnt say he "thinks" it could be leukemia!!  How frightening.  I hope everything comes back fine, then you should kick that doctor in the shin!

Sure thing. I have been through the leukemia testing 3x since the age of 26. One time it turned out to be an allergy to black mold that was invading my apartment. The 2nd time I think was a bad infection in an unfinished root canal. I did not have a nerve so I could not feel the infection but still had roots in there. They gave me antibiotics and re-did the root canal, then I healed up and was fine. The third time...I'm not sure, but almost as quickly as everything elevated (the WBC and stuff), it lowered. They were a bit puzzled, but then we moved so the new doc ran an entire battery of tests and they were good.

Hopefully in your case it is something simple to fix like with my first time. I just moved to a new place and within 2 weeks everything went back to normal. I will pray for you. In the meantime look for possible triggers (mold in te bathroom or ceiling around pipes or whatnot, or be aware of you dental health. Maybe you have an infection. Try to think positive ok. I know it's hard!!!

I hope it is nothing. I am glad yours turned out to be nothing. How high was your WBC if you dont mind me asking? Oh and did they have to test your bone? Cause the dr told me the hematologist might want to do that.
