Salem Witch trial---What lies in YOUR family history?
I am a descendant of two salem witches that were killed during the witch trial. What's in your closet?
I don't know much other than like one of my great-great-great grandpas was named Gottlieb Schieber and he came from Germany with his son Rudolph when Rudolph was 4. They came to Missouri and started a horse farm.
Oh, and I saw in the census info that another great-grandfather was living in a mental institution after he was married and had children and eventually died there.
LOL I was hoping for something more historical---is she an ordinary lesbian, or did she make history by being the first lesbian to fly a plane across the pacific? <g>
Quoting MommiE8983:
My mom is a lesbian. Does that count?
How cool! I mean that would suck if they were one of the many that were hung but still cool! IDK! I should ask my mom she does all our family genealogy and Im not sure about anyone special or famous. I do know shes traced it back to the 1300s! But all our family is in scotland and England. My brothers and sister and I are 1st generation Americans
I got a few of loose nuts in my family too----but they're still here so I can't talk about em! lol.

I have no clue! I am adopted and although it was an open adoption, my bio mom decided to cease contact when I was 5....I know nothing about myself and I HATE IT!!! :(
A whole lot of Quakers, Mennonites and Irish farmers. Obscure religious farmers, nothing more. My folks have been hill-billy Ohio farmers for many, many generations, and I have done extensive genealogical research.
I have had 4 pregnancies. I have only 1 living child, and he lives far away from me. I have had 2 miscarriages and a baby girl who died of SIDS at 16 days old. It would be entirely too easy for me to be angry with the world, angry with myself, angry with God---whatever God may be. Sometimes I do wonder if there is such a thing as "karma", and what I must have done to disrupt the ebb and flow. Sometimes I do wonder why God seems like a cruel child holding a magnifying glass over an ant hill. Then I stop and realize "it is what it is", and my children must have a bigger purpose in this universe than to pet my emotions with their physical presence.
