Pit Bull Jumped Into My Car With 4yr old in the Back!
I strapped my 4 year old in his carseat in the backseat. (My mom calls me the carseat Nazi... Is it asking too much that it's strapped right in EVERY time?)
I pulled down the LONG drive and parked in front of the mailbox. I got out, left the driver's door open and walked TWO steps to my mail box.
I was getting my mail when a huge brown pit bull jumped into the car through the open door.
My four year old and the dog stared at each other.
I went all Cesar Millan on that dog. Grabbed him by the collar and pulled him out.
TSH! I said. He sat by my feet and a little girl ran over and thanked me for catching him. Apparently she was watching him for the day for a family member.
Then I got my mail, got back in the car and my four year old and I had a laugh.
"That big brown dog was in the car!" He said.
"Yeah," I laughed "he probably smelled the popcorn you dropped on the floor and was hungry!"
My son wasn't scared because I wasn't scared. Well... I didn't act scared.
Having a strange dog jump into your car is scary!
But I have always thought, and still do, that the owner makes the dog. No matter what the breed, if you train your dog, discipline him, make sure they are getting enough exercise and socialization, they'll be a well behaved dog.
I still would have tackled the dog if it was a rabid, wild dingo, cause NO ONE TOUCHES MY BABY!
But he wasn't.
What would YOU have done!?

Well if the dog was behaving "Good" then I would just try to get the dog out. If the dog was mean though, I would have taken my flip flop off and had to handle it, LOL.
Quoting mrsjedwards:are you SUUUUURE a pitbull jumped into your car for popcorn while you were being a carseat nazi? this sounds like the typical 4am CM drama post...
what with the popcorn and all
Well, It's 1am here (let's hear it for night owls!).
But it is a true story. Even though it happened yesterday and I'm just now getting around to writing this... Don't I love being a procrastinator.
