SKATEBOARDS FOR GIRLS????? Where do I find them??
My DD has discovered the world of skateboarding. She will be 12 next month so she wants one for her birthday. I have looked all over and I can't find one for a girl. Are there certain ones for girls? I don't even know the first thing about it...lol I wanted to get her one with Twilight New Moon on it.
She says that she saw her friends on skateboards and one little girl walked up to her and said black girls don't skateboard. She was very upset and she hates when she hears things like this, it just makes her want to do it more. I'm very proud of my daughter wanting to try new things. I don't want to pay a ton of money for something she may loose interest in. So any ideas or advice??

a skate shop...but they dont run cheap..but you can choose everything you want there..
Does she already know how to use it? If so, go all out! If not, get one cheap somewhere for her to learn on and THEN go all out. That sounds FUN!
Just buy a plain skateboard and get it airbrushed with something she likes.

Boards you buy at any store, that isn't a skate shop, will not be good quality. Bad Boyz Toys has a great selection..(not just for boys, either). They have tons of decks (the part you stand on), to choose from...all types of designs on them. You buy all the parts separately...the deck, the wheels, the trucks, etc, and they put it together. It's more costly than buying one at Walmart, but it's a good, quality board, that will last. (I have 3 skateboard enthusiasts at my house).
YES!! totally!!! I got two !! one for each of my girls...my skater girls..lol..one is pink with girls designs on the bottom, and one is light blue with girly designs....they got them for christmas and they are so good now!!!
Quoting retsillacam:
I found one at wall mart. It was OP brand and had a girly design on the bottom.
try zumiz, though they sell clothing they do sell other things and they may also have a place to recommend to you.
