OK i had our youngest on July 14,2009 .. i got the implanon rod birth control put in my arm not long after she was born and i am still breastfeeding!
well i only had 1 REALLY LIGHT!! like just spotting type period in 8months then last thursday Aunt Flow decided to pay me a visit ... and i have NEVER had a period last over 4 days .. so far we are at 7 days with no sign of it stopping anytime soon .. everytime it lightens up like its gonna go away .. NOPE .. she come back bad again!!
Is this normal!??
i have only been on birth control one other time *when i was younger before we got married* but i always had normal periods on it .. but now i didnt have one for 8 months and its like shes wanting to make up for lost time!! ... damn B*tch!... lol!
Happened when my body was adjusting to the hormones of the pill. Mine would be like 3 wks long, I told my doc I hated it and was done, they said give it time and it finally kicked in. BF less than normal? I'm guessing it's just hormones adjusting, but always worth asking your doc about.
No she still nurses ALL the time *or else thats what it seems like* .. adjusting to hormone? ive had this in for 8months! .. i dunno im just tired of still bleeding!! AHH! i wanna scream ... but oh well birth control is coming out monday @ 3:15pm cause hubby is really wanting another baby! so we are gonna just not try but not prevent! .. i just want AF to go away!! ... i didnt know it would try to make up for lost time! .

As long as you dont go through more than 1 pad an hour you should be ok until you get to the dr.
Every womans body reacts differently. I have the IUD and normally it's supposed to lighten your cycle to being non exsistent. I started January 19 think it was and bled all but 5 days out of February. My suggestion is to just stock up on femine products lol.
I've never had implanon, but I got the Mirena back in November and thought I was going to bleed to death! Damn thing made me bleed for over a month straight... like I was having my heaviest day of my period every single damn day! I was borderline anemic when it finally lightened up. I haven't seen any blood for a few days now... good luck on ttc here soon!
