We took my son last night to the ER he had a 104.4 temp and he had a headache. Didn't know what was goin on so the dr. thought it could be menigentis but luckly it wasn't. Found out its Strep Troat! Anyone have their child go through this and how long did it take them to get better? He is 6 1/2.

My 3 year old had the SAME thing happen to him 2 days ago... brought him into the dr. with a 105 fever!... it came out of no where.. they did a culture and it came back positive for strep.  He has been on an antibiotic since that night..  he is already feeling better!

24 with the antibiotic he is no longer contagious and should start felling better quickly like within 2 days. Give with Tylenol for pain as needed.
Hope he feels better soon

My son just had strep, he never even ran a fever we took him because his ears were hurting and it was strep. He felt better after a day or two on the antibiotics.

My 2 older kids have had it a few different times. My son Aaron got scarlet fever along with it the first time he had it. That was not fun at all! Once the antibiotics kick in it only takes a few days before they start to feel better. My kids don't eat or dink much when they have it so you have to watch for dehydration.
