I grew up drinking out of the cartons for milk and juice and whatever. And I hate dirtying a glass for a quick drink (and i usually pour too much and then it's wasteful! lol) So my husband and i have been married almost 4 years and I have ALWAYS done this and now all of a sudden he's been yelling at me about it telling me it's gross! I know a lot of people think it's gross .. so i'm just wondering how manyof you do drink out of the cartons.

I do. I tell my husband if he hates it then he can go buy his own.

No, it's unsanitary and just gross.   I keep a small bowl (half cup rubbermaid storage bowl) on the counter.  We take a drink, rinse the bowl, and set it back on the counter.

Me and my husband both do it. Its not any worse than kissing or sharing the same glass

only when what's left in the carton is an amount equal to, or less than the amount I want to drink... otherwise... GROSS! Especially if anyone else is going to be using that beverage...

Not to mention the science experiments you're creating in the carton... BLECH! (mental note... don't accept milk or juice at Cartermommy's house... )

You do realize, that unless you actually use soap and friction, rinsing the bowl is the same as not doing anything to it, right??? I had a food safety class while attending hospitality management school, and we did experiments on germ growth, etc...

we put our hand prints in a petri dish... then we went to the bathroom and didn't wash our hands, and put them in another petri dish... then we rinsed our hands off with just plain warm water, and put them in a dish, and then we used soap and water, and the accepted "proper handwashing techniques"... and put our hand in a petri dish. We let them culture and grow over the weekend. On Monday morning, the ONLY dish that did not have a GAJILLION little bacterial colonies growing was the one where we used soap and water, and usual and customary handwashing techniques. The rest were SO disgusting.

LoL he actually, right now cause he's on a diet has his own milk and he and i drink different juice (he likes no pulp and i like lots of it) so he doesn't even have to drink out of what i drink out of (although i did drink a little of his chocolate milk earlier lol)

No and it grosses me out to see it done. Nobody in this house does as far as I know and if they do they better not let me catch them doing it.
