My DH and his brother in law just took my 4 year old son and my 11 year old nephew in a ford ranger pickup truck that only has a front seat. That means my nephew had my 4 year old in his lap while they were driving on a busy road and my 4 year old didnt have a booster seat. Im VERY mad to the point of wanting to hurt my brother in law and DH to show them what kind of danger they just put my child in. They have done this 2 other times as well and for no apparant reason, because there is a booster seat in my car and my DH had the keys to my car in his pocket and everyone could have ridden in my car with a seat belt and there would be no problems. I printed up the guidelines for how old and tall and the weight limits on carseats/booster seats in Texas but im wondering if anyone knows how I could find out how many people have died on the road that they were traveling on so that I can make them feel badly for putting my sons life in danger and to prevent it from happening again. By the way, I never know when they are about to drive in the pickup truck. Its enough to make me want to leave my DH and report him if thats possible so please dont bash me.
Wow, I cant help you, but I will come help you beat the shit out of them!!
I'm sure they realize it's unsafe. People tend to have a "that could never happen to me!" way of looking at things. Probably easier to just point out how much trouble they will get in if caught - that's child endangerment.
Ive told my husband how much trouble they can get in. He doesnt care. I dont know what to do anymore about this. If I would have caught them doing it I would have called the police.

Me too
Quoting LiesLiesLies:I would leave my husband for that.
I dont blame you for a second and im seriously considering it. The fact that im about to deliver in a baby in the next few weeks will delay that if thats what I decide though.
Quoting Idiosyncratic:I wouldn't let him drive around with her anymore...
I have to work so im not home all of the time so thats really not an option.
