Leave him?

DS is sleeping in his carseat.... he's knocked out for once... do I just unhook the straps and leave him in the carseat or move him to his bouncy where he usually sleeps...

I could use some sleep but I'm afraid to leave him there... weird cause the only other places he will sleep are on me or in the bouncy and it would be AMAZING to go to sleep in the BED for once...

I read somewhere that it isn't good to leave them in the car seat. However, my sis used to do this all the time with her girls.....

Gee, A lot of help I am.

I would probably move him. Car Seats never looked to comfy to me.

Honestly, I would just leave him. It would be no differnt if you guys were on a road trip and he was in the carseat sleeping.

I don;t see how it can be comfy but he fell asleep in the van and we've been home almost an hour and he's still sound asleep

Get some sleep, Mama. He'll be OK. ;-) One night, when my DD was really small (like, maybe 2 months?), she fell asleep upright in her swing. I usually had her sleeping on me, or in the basinette right next to my side of the bed, and I felt horrible for leaving her in the swing, but seriously, neither of us had had a decent night's sleep in days. I put a blanket on her, curled up on the couch in the living room and got SIX SOLID HOURS of peaceful sleep. When DD woke, she didn't even wake up crying. Just cooing. Apparently the sleep did her some good, too!

Your little guy will be fine. Whether or not to unhook the straps depends on how big he is...I would be nervous about doing that myself, though if he was safe enough in there, I'd probably take off the shoulder straps if they'd slide off easy enough. But honestly, it's not worth waking him up over. He's obviously comfy. ;-)

Nighty night!

Lol kids are weird. Its like DS falling asleep in his high chair it looks so uncomfortable I know I couldn't fall asleep that way.

LMAO yes they are... DD can sleep just about anywhere... and yes she's fallen asleep in her highchair.... but hey it was a perfect powernap for me while she was out... and a cute picture I can torture her with in the future.... (like when she starts bringing home boys)
