Any tips or tricks you have for potty training? Leave a comment and let me kno pretty plz this whole potty training thing has been very hard with my son. I need some advice of tips and techniques on what has worked for other people?
Get a bowl full of fruit snacks, lollis, stickers, small toys.
When he goes potty, he gets a treat from the "Potty bowl"
Do not use pull ups, they are just like diapers, just jump into panties.
Ask and look for clues they have to go.
I did this with DD (25 months) and she is potty trained the first day!
My boys were 3.7 and 3.10 when they did it on their own. I just talked to them about it a lot. Told them what was expected, why it was expected and what the benefits would be. Of course I embellished on the benefits...like big boys get to have sleep over . I just made it as enticing as possible.
My daughter was quicker, 2.11. But with all of them I found letting them do it on their own to just be less head ache.
3 kids and I ahve never cleaned up an accident. So for me anyway there was no headache.
Quoting kno4eva:He's turned 3 in january and i've been trying to do this all along. But it seems like he's be 5 yrs old before he did it on his own.
Quoting imthatgirl728:My advice...wait till he's ready and then he'll just do it. It doesn;t need to be a big deal.
Today I can say I am PROUD to be from Massachusetts!!
Hey Mr. President....Can. You. Hear. Us. NOW!!!!!
If you are both getting very frusterated by the whole process he might not be ready yet. Also we tried the seat that fits ontop of the toilet and my daughter wasn't interested in it and then we got the potty chair and she seemed to do better with it, so if one doesn't work try the other. GL!

He's 3.2 years old and has yet to even pee in the potty for the first time. He doesnt even get the concept of it and has really bad speech problems. So i dont think he'd even understand the concept of a sleep over.

Thank you... i have both the potty and adapter for the potty. The adapter seems to be better for him tho.

no...pick your own benefits, lol.
If he's not ready, you can't make him be ready. If he doesn't get the concept of it, you may be wasting your time.
