I am currently living with my aunt and uncle.
My daughter is going to be 3 in just a couple of weeks, and my aunt is insisting on buying her a booster seat for thier car. I tyold them that I dont want her in a booster seat yet.
I dont know how to get them to listen.
She still has more than enough room in her 5 point harness carseats. She fluctuates between 28 and 31 pounds. I dont know how tall she is, but she is not too tall for the carseasts.
I am planning on moving out soon, but until then, I dont know how to get it through their heads that I DO NOT WANT HER IN A BOOSTER!!
Any advice on how to get her to listen??
She just won't ride with them if they refuse to use the carseat her MOTHER requires her to be in.
she is not big enough for one yet. Many boosters say 40 lbs and up. So just tell them that. If that is still not enough just say, my daughter will not ride in a booster yet. It is safest for her to ride in a 5 point.
Look up your state law. Chances are that's illegal to put a child less than 4 yrs and 40 lbs in a booster. If that doesn't work, look up some child car seat safety articles on boosters are for big kids and you'll get info about how it's not safe. You're the mother so you make the rules. Just be firm.
