Reborn Dolls

So I couldn't sleep last night and ended up watching a documentary on women in England that collected these reborn Babies. Yes they are dolls yes they are fake but these women treated them as if they were real. This one lady bought multiple Prams for her "babies" and Clothes and all kinds of stuff. She even put liquid fabric softner in a bottle for it to seem more realistic.

As I'm watching this I'm getting a little creeped out. This one lady even had the doll maker custon make a baby to look her grandson who had moved to New Zealand cuz she missed him so much. It was insane.

Then it dawned on me: I HAVE ONE OF THESE DOLLS. lol My Grandma had bought me one years ago and It's always sat in the box. Now I don't have one of the super crazy lifelike ones. This one does have a breathing mechanism that makes it look like it's breathing though. I couldn't beleive it here I was calling these women nuts and I have one myself. lol I almost died laughing.

So I got the idea to get my son used to having a baby around to bing this baby out to teach him how to be gentle and hold the baby.  Now he won't give it back lol.

Has anyone else ever heard of these dolls or does anyone own one?

I have seen one, and it was an old lady that had "her" I thought it was a real baby!  I think it is great for old women to have these dolls, it helps them.
