It is a beautiful day here, it was in the upper 60's to low 70's. It is the first nice weekend coming off a very long cold snowy winter. Everyone in my development has their windows open and clothes on their lines. SO what do you think my dumb ass ignorant neighbors decide to do? Go outside, rake their lawn of all the dead grass, fallen limbs and left over fall leaves and burn themGin a nice big smokey fire in their back yard! Now they are just sitting there stoking their fire watching everyone scramble to shut their houses back up and pull their clothes off the line. Why does it always have to be one jackass who ruins it for everyone? Now my fresh clothes and what was my nice clean house smell like a bon fire!

I feel for you. Growing up, people would burn and it would make my head hurt. I don't know why one jerk has to ruin it for the neighborhood.
I hate the smell of burning leaves...YUCK

I seriously think that happens everywhere. We have a neighbor who does the same thing even during the no burn season. We bought a fire pit a few years ago but rarely use it and never if people have laundry out.
Quoting SugarGuru:
well, it's on their lawn and it's their right to do so, sorry....we do bonfires constantly during the summer, but burn actual logs....
Actually they DON'T have the right. We have no burn rules here, but it's not worth complaining about and wasting borough resources to call the police or fire department. I wouldn't care if they burnt their house down, it's more about being courteous of your neighbors. Why would someone want to piss off the people they have to live next to for the next 30+ years?
