sexting = sex offenders

I feel the some of the laws on sexting is so dumb. I seen on the news that is a boy received a text from his gf and she is top less or something then he will go to jail and has to register as a sex offender. So what about the girls i feel that they should also get into trouble for distributing the pics. But to me it is dumb if they are like 15 or `16 yes they should get in to trouble but not to that extreme. What do you guys think?

I've heard about a few girls sending the pictures of themselves that have to register as sex offenders.

Good. Maybe young children will stop being so sexually involved if they are scared of some real consequences. Obviously their parents aren't doing enough.

 not for kids or adults. Now if they take it to the next level and send them everywhere then yes, bust their ass. Couples always do this stuff. Well, a lot of us do or have. What about those who are deployed or away or long distance relationships? Girls and guys alike should be punished if it gets taken to the next level as I stated above. Not just the men.

 The reason they are doing this is because of the parents that make it possible to continue. If parents were more involved in this, this would not be an issue with kids.

that is stupid.. sex offender charge for a picture they resived? OMg.. that is wrong. .the girl should have enough sence not to send topless pics to anyone anyways of anytime and any age.. they can use that picture for anything god some gils has no brain.

I think there should be some consequence for doing it at school, but not so over the top like it has been.  What happened to detention?

Other than that, I think it's an issue for kids and their parents.  I don't think it should be a legal issue.  People need to quit spazzing out about teens and sexuality.  Guess what?  Teens have sex!
