My serious thought for today.. Ponder on this one America!
WHAT IF.... the government is causing allllll of this economic bullshit... causing people to lose their jobs so that most men think they have no choice but to join the army... because they want allllll the man power they can get to blow up all the other countries and win... hmmm? whatcha think??

I don't believe that for one second. The Army has actually made stricter standards for enlistment and those already enlisted are having a hard time promoting or even re-enlisting in some situations because the Army is so overstrengthed. In my DH's MOS (aka job), he can't even re-enlist for it if he wanted to because it's so overstrengthed. Points have been maxed out for YEARS making promotion impossible. His only option may be to either re-class to a different MOS or simply get out because he won't be able to stay in. Other branches like the Air Force are downsizing and actually pushing people out. Troop levels in Iraq are supposed to be down to 50,000 by August and while they are sending more troops to Afghanistan, it's still not like the demand was a while ago. So no, I don't think the government is doing anything to influence men looking for jobs into the Armed Forces.
I agree with that too. If they were THAT desperate for soldiers, they'd just start drafting.
Quoting twinmamaof3:
If they wanted that, then they would start a draft. I personally love the Army and can not wait until I graduate in two years from college to go back in as a 2nd Lt!

lol, I do that all the time.
Quoting NerdyMcGee:They may be doing it in a tricky way though! OR... they are trying to avoid a draft and making people crazy.. so they're doing this first.
I have no problem with it... I love our country, and I love our men :)
I was just having an out there theorizing moment lol
Thank you :)
BUT... you can't say it wasn't a heck of a theory!

Nothing this government does would shock me one bit. The last administration caused this recession/depression, so they did once you think about it. LMAO!!!
Ohhhh scary thought. New conspiracy theory in the making.
