mom who have kids that have asthma i have a question
my daughter is 2 and takes her asthma meds from the nebulizer. but what do you do when your out and about and your child has a asthma attack like at the park or store? i dont have a car so we walk everywhere and in the spring/summer months we are never home we are out doing fun stuff. but this will be the first spring/summer since she was dx with asthma. i always carry my cell phone but it just worries me.
she takes albuterol for attacks and pulmicort for her preventive
Get an inhaler from the pediatrician. There is also Albuterol sulphate syrup. I keep both on me at all times
Heres the inhaler...there are different kinds. Your pediatrician will have to prescribe it and the albuteral sulphate also

I agree. All three of my boys have an inhaler. That would be the best bet when you are away from home
Also ask the doctor to prescribe "singulair 4mg chewable tablets"...these are fantastic....my grandchildren was prescribed this back in december and they take 1 a night and they have only had 2to3 attacks since the middle of december

my grandkids have the same medication. My grandkids are 2 & 3 years old....she can use an inhaler
My daughter is 3 and uses a nebulizer at homeas well as 2 preventative inhaler medicines at home. Also, the specialist prescribed an albuterol inhaler and a spacer(ask for one--it helps the young ones use an inhaler.) Its wonderful to have when we are out, just in case of an attack. Hope that helps!
