DD friend stopped using our computer because....

I told my DD and her friend that I have a program on the computer that  keeps track of all the pages they go to and chat logs and her friend stopped using our computer once I told her that.    I said that as I found out she was looking up inappropriate things at her house and since she was at our house I was not going to allow that.  DD friend's eyes just about popped out of her head, as she gets away with everything and anything at home.  This was a total lie to them as I do not have a program on there but got me thinking that I really need to do something to track what they do.  Where do I go to do that?  What program do you have/use and you like?  I don't want to spend oodles of money.  Or are there just setting changes that can be made on the computer??

 i have vista, but im not sure if it works on all computers...but when i pressed ctrl+shift+F12, there is this tracker thing that pops up with everything that was done on the computer (as far as internet)

I bought net nanny and it SUCKS!! It completely ruined my computer!  I couldn't get it off my computer even though I had all the codes and passwords.  I would NOT recommend this program!!

You can set up another user name just for them with vista and set parental controls, then you can see every site that they have been to.  It's already built in to the program. I have ours set up that way for my 9 and 11 yrs old to get online.  You can block sites  with a certain rating or that contain certain words, downloads, etc.

 LOL, I know this isn't really funny, but my mom used to call my bluff ALL the time. She could have me believing anything.... I think thats what keept me inline for the most part, lol.

I don't know where you could find anything like that though....
