if someone buys something off you; and it breaks on the way home do you have to give them back their money?
My brother sold his 90 gallon aquairum and fish stuff for 150. I guess the guy put the tank, stand in the back of a truck. My brotehr told the dude he had to take the tank off the stand but dude didn't and left. Dude called and told my brother the tank broke on the way home and he was coming back for his money.
My brother is pissed. Since the guy is on his way back does he have to give him the money? He sold it on craigslist. My brother is on the phone. Anyone know the rules on cragislist on this?
Sold "as is". Even if it had a huge defective crack on it, which caused the break it doesn't matter since it's sold used.
nope once the money is given to you and they leave its up to them to make sure its in the truck properly. because your brother was selling it to make money and the guy broke it so if he gets his money back.... youre brother is out oif money and a fish tank to sell. I say tuff crap for the buyer!!
Nope. I wouldn't give it back to him. Your brother basically told him how to pack it in there so it wouldn't break and the guy didn't listen. It broke because the guy was careless. It was not broken when your brother sold it to him.
