DH and I are having a major argument. He's Dead set on painting our baby's room bright orange with blue stripes and a giant '01 on the wall to model the room after the General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard, so he has a place to put up his Dukes Of Hazzard Crap. I have 2 MAJOR problems with this... one that my graduation year is 2001 and my high school colors were blue and orange. He seems to think that because I have an offfice that I get to decorate he gets to do the baby's room whatever he wants. HE HAS A 3 CAR GARAGE that I'm NOT ALLOWED TO PARK IN because that's HIS space. WE just haven't been able to afford to finish it the way he wants. UGH!!!! What would you do?

Hubby and I didn't have this problem so I don't know...lol.  I put that it needs to be mutual.

Can you try to compromise? Maybe give him a section of the room he can paint a Duke of Hazzards car on, then the rest of the room, you get to do.

I think it should be mutual but honestly my hubby could've cared less, thank goodness! So I just did what I wanted.

I'd be damned if my DH would paint my child's nursery to look like the General Lee.  He needs to keep that kind of stuff in his garage.

laughingSorry to laugh, it's just funny to know someone else can't park in their garage either! LOL That is my hubby's space, and I have to park in the driveway. :( As for the original question, I don't know. My husband could have cared less, but I am leaning towards it's your decision! ;)

I was going to say let him have his way with the baby room..sounds cute to me!  BUT once u said he has a 3 car garage he wont let u park in that is all his I changed my mind!  If he has that space he can do whatever in then he needs to put his crap down there!

I want to decorate our future babys in winnie the pooh and dh doesnt have a problem with that so i dont need to worry about any fight with him. Good luck maybe you guys can find a comprimise
