I just bought this exact one in WalMart for $1.00! YES just $1.00!
It must have been a mistake but thats what the clearance tag said and it scanned at $1.
This is awesome because this is the base that works with my sons carseat!!
If it was recalled, they wouldn't have allowed you to buy it.
I don't think they can legally sell somethging that has been recalled. Awesome deal!!!

That was my first thought, but the sticker says it was manufactured on 5/27/09!

Yea that's what we were thinking, but it had to of been an employee because the barcode on the actual box rang up $1 so it had to of been changed in the system!
if it was recalled the system automatically declines the sale. As for it being 1.00 someones probably getting in some big trouble for that one lol. That was a scan and then entry error. the funny thing is the manager is suppose to go in and verify the price change before its actually approved. Great find though!
