I have a dog by the name of Bella. She is a chow mix. We rescued her without knowing that the people that had had her before BEAT her for everything under the sun. So,she's been with us going on 7/8 yrs now.She finally let my hubby touch her for the first time 2 yrs. ago. I can't bring myself to "punish" her at all so.....
She has never been trained....,she is a totally outside dog. We bring her in if it gets too cold or too hot outside. Anyhow,my "ADORABLE" Bella decides to pull my just washed, almost totally dry comforter off the line in the back yard and drag it in the dirt!!!!! AAARRRGGGHHHH.
When I caught her without thinking about it I yelled "Stop it,Bella!" She immediately dropped to the ground at my feet...whimpering. I didn't hit her, didn't even have my arm up or anything. Sometimes I could bring myself to go "hunt" up her old owners and beat the crap out of them!! She is now over her scare...and has had 4 treats.I feel so bad for scaring her that every time I look over at her if she looks at me I give her one. :+) This is her and my 9 yr old (wonder when they snuck her in the house?!)

awwe I so feel you girl!!! we adopted a dog and she was so scared she could hardly walk or stand up she would shake so bad if we ever raised our voices she would pee uncontrollably luckily we decided to keep her and train her and she is the best pet me or hubby has ever had!!! she is a sweetheart and I cant believe anyone would try to hurt a dog with such a golden heart.
