ok so its like nearly 3 and there is a hellicopter outside going around in circles shining a light down..
what in the heck could they be doing??
Probably looking for a runner or some thing. I think Id be more scared of some fugitive in my back yard then worrying about the helicopter.

doubt they'd have it on the news just yet... but they are probably looking for someone.. doesnt HAVE to just be a fugitive tho. my co-worker's DD "ran away" one night.. we worked 3rd shift, so i had to pick up her shift while she went home and aided the cops in finding her DD... they had search dogs out, neighbors, cops, plus the police helicoptor... turns out that the girl was just at a friends house and forgot to tell the mom.
I would turn on the news. lock all of your doors and windows. just to be safe. also staying away from windows might be a good idea. you just never know what the person might have on them or the reason behind them running.
I hope your doors are all locked! It is either the police looking for someone or the news helicopter is filming an accident . Either one is not great! I recently had the experience of a guy who robbed a bank near my work. He ran into our medical office and sat down in the waitng room to hide from the police. Our receptionist noticed he didn't check in and asked if he had an appt. He said "no" and she told him he couldn't just come in and watch our tv - so he left. We saw the police arresting him a few minutes later. The backpack he was carrying had the money in it !!
