This is a simple yes/no question !

When you go to a buffet do you leave a tip for the person who cleans the table when you leave ?

Reason I ask is because if you think about it. You are getting your own food, your own drink ect. So there is no server to tip.

If I were to go to a buffet, yes I would.

ETA: When I was in the States and I would go to Golden Corral (Sp), we would get our own food and everything, but the person who tends the table would get our rolls and drinks, and we always left them a good tip.

the servers at buffets do a lot of work and generally are only getting server pay per hour . i always  tip $1 per person who ate at the table.

I use to be a table busser at a buffet when I was in HS. on a busy night you MIGHT make $5 some people would leave $1 or their change from their meal for the bussers.

I tip anyone who provides a service to me because I know how much those tips mean, even if they just clean the table =]

we don't eat at buffets very often bc my dh doesn't enjoy buffet food, but just this weekend we went on a retreat and breakfast lunch and dinner were at buffets, we got all our food ourselves, our drinks and then cleared our own table so we did not tip, if i go to a restaurant where the servers are more hands on I will usually tip but it just depends on the type of restaurant we go to but since it rarely ever happens i voted no

 Helllll no. I have to get up, get my own food and drinks plus I end up dropping my plates off at their "work stations". I don't tip them for a job I'm doing lol

Can't say I do no, but we also hardly EVER eat at buffet type restaurants so it's not something I deal with often.  It's probably been well over 5 years since I ate at a buffet restaurant.

yes i tip usually a little  less than when i go to a restaurant where they serve your food. Unless i go to one of those places where you get your own drinks too then i don't tip b/c all they are doing is cleaning the table.
