So you'll probably think i'm dumb for asking but I really have no idea what's going on...We don't have cable.. so we don't watch the news. I'm hardly ever online and when I am.. it's for email and cafemom... I don't spend much time reading/watching news ever. I'm a sahm so I don't go out and speak to people much. I've been seeing lots of post on Obama and the health care issue and I'm confused..
Can some one explain to me the "gist" of it..
Don't bash!! Educate me!!
Links/websites are helpful too, so I can read them when I do have a chance.
Thanks.
Edit: So the more I'm reading, the more I'm confused.. What exactly will this bill mean for me and my family?? Hubby makes between $40,000 -$45,000 a year.. There are 4 of us.. and only the girls have health insurance.. If we're forced to have health care.. how are we going to pay for a premium of ~$3,000 a year.. That would be an extra $300 or so a month... We don't have any extra money, which is why we don't have heatlh insurance right now.. How are we going to pay it.. stop eating food??? From reading several posts and news articles and visiting websites.. this is what I figured out for our family.. but I'm not sure if this is right or what... So someone please explain to me this....
im not fully sure i fully understand it.. so i can use an education myself
Basically, Obama and the dems have passed a bill which is historic in that they have prevailed against powerful and wealthy health insurance companies. This bill is designed to begin to solve some of the problems surrounding health care in this country, which have been an issue for the American people, and the economy for many decades.
