I know a lot (read almost everyone) is confused about the health care bill - or at least parts of it. And I am def one of them :). a couple things I am wondering about - I thought the bill had to go back before Senate now in order for it to become law and they had to approve it with NO changes... but the news this morning said that parts of it will be signed into law immediately, and parts have to be approved by Senate. So, I don't understand - which parts are going where and how is this going to affect me right away?
Right now my DH is a member of the electrical union... we have our insurance through them. We pay our monthly dues (about $28 a month to be a part of the union), and then out of each paycheck my DH receives they take 5% of his gross pay as part of his "working dues". This 5% (about $46 a week) is our portion that we pay towards our health insurance and retirement. Everything else is paid for by the union - which is part of why we like being with them. Before we joined the union we were paying almost $200 a week to have insurance for my DD and I....
plus the insurance through the union is AWESOME - low deductibles and almost everything covered after we meet the deductible.
So is this all going to change??? How does this health care bill affect the insurance I have currently? Thanks to anyone that can help me understand
