I am on predisone and a steriod cream and my cna class is giving us all tb tests tomorrow. I told my instructor and all she said was "if you don't get the test; you don't pass my class".

Can it mess it up? Or can i get really sick if i do it? I dont' want to fail but i don't want to fail a tb test and also don't want to make myself sicker than i already am.

i found this

This drug makes you more susceptible to illnesses. If you are exposed to chicken pox, measles, or tuberculosis (TB) while taking prednisone, call your doctor. Do not have a vaccination, other immunization, or any skin test while you are taking prednisone unless your doctor tells you that you may.

yeah i found that before i called up my instructor. My doctor probably won't call me back today seeing as its almost 4 and they close at 4. His office typically won't respond same day unless its a emergency.

I don't know what to do because i don't want to fail the class but i don't like ultimatimes either.

I'd bring in the cream and meds itself and show your prof.  They cant make you do it if you're medically not supposed to...

I'm a vaxing, circing, disposable diaper using, bf switched to ff, CIO sometimes, pushed 1hr before a c-section (and don't regret it), college graduate, loving my son, can't wait to have another baby, trust your own judgement, kind of mom.

ok so i was right my doctor DIDN"T CALL ME BACK TODAY!  So can i get the TB test or not? anyone know?  I have to be there at 9 tomorrow to get it..and well; from what i read online you are not suppose to for some reason if you are on this medicine. Although the pamplet doesn't say anything about TB tests..
