Hi,
Just looking for some info for my DH. He is a member of the IBEW in Idaho where we live now, but we're thinking about moving soon - either nor cali or oregon. Trying to find out some info on salary and what not to see if we could survive in cali :)
If your DH is a member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) would you mind me asking some personal questions (can do PM if you want)... it would be about salary/benefits/etc....
DH is a journeyman electrician currently, and is 6 months away from taking the test for his Masters here in ID.
TIA!
And if you dont know, would you mind bumping... THANKS!
My Dad is in the IBEW and has been for over 50 years.
Most who are in the Union make good wages and have great benefits. of course it just all depends on who you work for also.
Oh and I'm in Oregon
Same here, my dad too! He has actually worked for the same company since 1962 so he makes good money. We live in California. Just starting out in the job market here will not be easy, we have the highest % of newly and continuing unemployed people. Not that we wouldn't welcome you, but even union jobs are hard to come by here. Good luck!

I know most union gets paid good wages and GREAT benefits - we are amazingly blessed here to have a good union job!
I am just trying to get a handle on exactly what the wages would be in Cali, to see if it's possible for us to move there near my family... also I need to find out if his license is reciprocal in Cali - I know it is in Oregon
