The Army, The Doctors, and Pissing me off. Vent and Cussing
OMFG seriously?!! My DH Leave has been planned and approved for over a month. Wednesday he gets a new 1st Sgt. Thursday the new 1st Sgt decides that because my husbands Warrior in Transition Paperwork isn't complete he can't go on leave until it is.
Well here's the fucking problem. We've been playing this game for about a damn year. This doctor doesn't do the profile, that doctor needs more info. This one thinks he is ok to deploy, these five are screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOO.
You see DH has had two heart attacks and a traumatic brain injury. He can't remember to put his pants on without me. His command doesn't want him to go.
But this fucking Major Doctor doesn't want to do the paperwork. He's procrastinating because he's a lazy fuck. So right now my trip home is being held up because I am waiting on this fucking doctor and my DH 1st sgt to battle it out. OMG really?
We couldn't do this last week?
We couldn't do this NEXT week?
It's four fucking days of which he has THREE off already. WHAT THE HELL IS THE PROBLEM. Ugg. I am so mad. I am so sick of these games. Christ, let him OUT OF THE ARMY. He's broke
IF he goes on this deployment he'll probably screw up and shoot the wrong person.>I literally mean that. He can't keep the information needed to do his job straight. Therefore, if they are forced to take him he is a liability to his unit.
OMG let him go already. Vent over.
Oh my! The only thing I can say is go over the Major's head to the LTC over him. It goes against protocol but if this putz has been sitting on this for a year then it indicates he is NOT doing his job! He needs to be reprimanded which will only get done by the LTC or COL. Sad but true. It most likely will NOT get done b4 your scheduled leave though. In this case maybe there is a way to go around the 1st SGT also. He also has a CoC to answer to. He is not the be all-end all. G/L
Yah I know, but my DH is trying to keep from them giving him an Article 15 for not knowing how to do his job.
Believe it or not, being injured in the Army is a big game of kiss my ass until you make me happy.
And our leave was scheduled for yesterday. I HAVE to leave today to get to my son. That's why we are going. By court order I have to have someone with me. The damn unit knows this. I didn't make any plans for my mom to meet me so now we are scrambling trying to figure out what to do and whether he is going to go.
It's a 16 hour drive and I am supposed to pick my kid up at noon tomorrow. He has another 1 hour and 45 minutes and then I am driving all that way alone.
UGGGGGGGG. Thanks for the advice

His old 1st Sgt was just going to put him on rear D and let him wait out his time. He ETS in Oct 2011 which is before they will return from this upcoming deployment.
We tried to get him well. He went to the TBI clinic, the neurologist, the training, the extra hours of duty to relearn all he has lost. But he continues to lose it.
Is he trying to get a medical discharge. Yes now we are.
