Mothers of children with pierced ears,

What was yalls experience like?

Did the piercings end up crooked?

What did you do about it?

Was it easy going or a horror flick?

Did you feel comfortable making any praises or complaints?

I ask bc I own a Neck up piercing and childrens ear piercing salon. The other day a mom I knew , we went to school to gether, came in and got her 11 mo old dd's ears pierced.

I did them and to my dismay one sat lower than the other. I acknowleged her obvious concern and explained confidantly that these things sometimes happen. I asked her to come back in two weeks to take the earrings out to get a better look( they are a generic style that hides the true piercing point).

If we see its even she will be able to put the jewelry back in and keep the piercing, but if we decide it is truley uneven then she may leave it out, and choose to re pierce two weeks after that. I apologized for the inconvienence and I gave them a discount for the undue delima.

The mom and dad seemed satysfied, but with many people having limited if any experience with piercers and the way it goes.

I feel that I handled the situation as  a professional would, I just am curious about others experiecnces from the "mom" point of view..

When I had my tongue pierced, it was done crooked. I pointed it out but refused to have them redo it. They didn't charge me for it and I never actually got it redone either. I just dealt with it and eventually got sick of it, took it out and let it close up.

Oh that s too bad. when done correctly youll forget its even there! I look after ward to check, and I take my time to make sure it doesnt happen. Lesson learned!

Personally I would take it out before letting the person know. I wouldnt want them walking around like that with my name on it and I would explain and offer a re do either immediately or at a later date free of charge!

I know this si different but I got my nipples done . one was perfect and the other was through the top part of the mipple and the bottem of the areola(diagnal not up and down) and it was just barely in the nipple that i could feel it by lightly touching the nipple. I paid before doing it as that was there policy and They refusedto refund my money I was pissed but i didnt know what to do. eventually I had to take them out.

I would complain. make them redo them.
