We just moved to a new state and we need to get new cell phones...

Does anyone have any thoughts on Verizon VS Tmobile....

I have never been with either of them and I need some help :)

Good or Bad

Thanks :)

I have US Cellular and have never used anything else. Here's a bump.

Here Verizon is considerably more expensive than all the others, but the service for T-Mobile is awful, so I guess you have to decide on the lesser of the two evils.

Verizon has better coverage, but I pay much less with T-Mobile.  I do pay as you go and pay $30/month for 100 minutes and unlimited date (4G up to 5GB and slower after that).  I've never used that much data in one month...I stay in the MB range.  LOL

T mobile doesnt do contracts anymore.

Quoting Momof2MixdBoyz:

I had Verizon and also had T-Mobile....

Verizon's pros - no sim card... you can upload the phone book onto the internet to save it in case the phone freaks

T-Mobiles pros - sim card, if phone freaks you have them on the card.. unless you get a google phone, you can still upload the phonebook onto the internet, but it takes a bit longer...

I honestly would go back to Verizon if I could... but T-Mobile is screwing me over a bit because I cancelled early.... (More than the $175 cancelation... like double plus a month and a half of service I didn't use)

Right now I'm using Revol... which is a no contract cell phone company.... $50 a month and I get the same things I got with T-Mobile...

Yes. T-mobile sucks major ass and is the worst carrier I have ever had. The reception and dropped calls are ridiculous. Verizon is pricey but has the better reception than most other carriers.

I'm cheap so I use Straight Talk which uses Tmobile and AT&T towers. My phone is compatible with AT&T. At $45 a month, I can deal with that.
