yesterday my family and i went to fiesta texas, and i thought i would try a little experiment with my daughter. i told her to wave at the people with her left hand, cause we were on the train. so when we passed people, sure enough she waved at people with her left hand. i waited a little bit, then told her to wave at people with her right hand, and again she did. i was amazed. i haven't worked with her on left and rights, i figured she probably wouldn't get that for another year or two. she just turned 4 april 28th.

so do you think this is average or advanced?

I think that's pretty smart especially if you never worked on it. BTW she is adorable if that's her in your avatar.

im not sure. we do left and right all the time so idk. dd is 3 but i always say. turn left, turn right when walking. look left, look right when crossing the street. pretty much any chance i get i will say left, right, etc... she also does ballet so there is a lot of left and right there. most of the time she gets it right lol! i think thats great that she knows left and rights. and shows you are teaching her great without even knowing it lol!
