While you weren't there, didn't break anything but stole valuables and any cash that you might have in the house.  They were than caught a couple weeks later, but confessed they only did it to feed their family or pay their bills.  Would you drop the charges even though your stuff couldn't be recovered and say all is forgiven?

This is completly hypothetical and no I wouldn't do it.  I am just curious.

Nope, I'd still press charges. That is MY STUFF, and my house. If you disturb my sense of security by breaking into my home, and stealing my things, I will press charges against you.

I have a shit load of food in my house. If they emptied my freezer and my pantry, then I wouldn't press charges,

But I would still have them paying for getting the blood out of my carpets. The dog would let them in, but it's unlikely she would let them leave!

Nope, there are some good druggie actors out there. How many times have they given the sob story and gotten away with it?

It happened, we moved out in 30 days. I couldn't get over that feeling of some creep snooping around my home, touching stuff.
