How much ground ginger should I add to 2 lbs. of ground meat?

I'm making meatballs with a bit of an Asian flair. I'm using 2 # ground beef & ground pork, panko crumbs, soy sauce garlic and eggs also. I'm just not sure to how much ground ginger I should add, I don't want to over power them.

They will be cooked in a pineapple sweet and sour sauce.

Are you using fresh ginger or powdered?  Fresh, I'd say grate enough to cover the back of the grate and with powdered, give it two or three good shakes and you should be good.  (after mixing it all together give it a sniff...you should be able to tell if you have enough!)   It's all in personal taste!

I'm using powdered, I have some fresh but I will be in a time crunch tonight.  Thanks for your advice!
