The public pool opens this weekend ! I want to take my daughter but i need a floaty. She is 2  and just pushing 29 or 30 pounds. What kind of floaty do i need for her ? she will be going in the kiddie pool for the most part but i do also want to get in the bigger pool and ill take her with me but only in a floaty. Can i still use those animal floaties were they sit in or do i use a regular ring or what ????

You need to look at the age/weight limits on them. We had one for DD the past 2 summers, and it says the age limit on it is 24 months. She is 3 now, and I have been looking at the ring ones and most of them say they are for 3 and up.

I always use the ones that go on each arm and the one that goes around their waist for the pools. If we go on a boat then of course they put on the lifejackets.

This is the one we're getting for my daughter for the summer, so she can still have her independance and move around but stay afloat.  My cousin had the same one years ago and they used to throw her in the pool and she would pop right back up (she was like 3 and LOVED doing that)
