Poor Poor Pitiful Me (sorry long but UGH!) UPDATE
Please tell me I'm not the only one who can't take Whiners.........
UGH! so waaaaaaaaaay back in HS I was friend a cpl yrs (soph & Jr) with this girl. It started off good, we became really close & spent alot of time together. After awhile I just COULD NOT take her anymore...........her life was soooooo "horrible"......she exaggerated & embellished her problems.........."EVERYTHING" was a crisis............."EVERYONE" was horrible to her. It became too much & I finally gave up & our friendship drifted apart. Well its been over 25 yrs and she just "found" me yesterday........her DH came to our home looking for me & my DH told him to tell her I'm on FB (I was at work). So last night she PMs me when I'm on FB after I got hm from work .....we start to catch up & she immediately starts with the sob stories again & tries to make me feel guilty because she had it "soooo hard" without a friend after we drifted apart ........we were friend for just 2 yrs.................it's been over 25 yrs since we last talked..........I feel guilty but I'm regretting friending her. I know it's a fault but I have NO PATIENCE for people like that........RATS!
UPDATE: this is the mssg she sent me today. I have to say I was REALLY sympathetic when we chatted but this is exactly the kind of thing that drove me away the 1st time
Just wanted to say Hi and see how you are doing. I wanted to check if you really wanted to talk again or was i weasting your time. I do not want to do that again. one particular family member came to mind while reading this. one of my great aunts is exactly the same way. no one has a harder life than she does <~~ total sarcasm. she just sits around all day and then complains that her joints don't work. wonder why... and when another family member developed cancer my great aunt decided she had to have testing done because she was sure she had cancer too! she gets on everyone's nerves because she complains about EVERYTHING! she's litterally killing herself because she makes herself believe she has way more problems than she actually does.
That sound exactly like my MIL, though she still acts like a teenager (shes 45) and whines and throws hissy fits when she don't get her way. Makes my head hurt thinking about it.
