So my question is this: When did the first time homebuyers 8000 dollar tax credit expire, are they still issuing it? Is it different for military men and women? my FIL told us that it was extended another year for military, but i am not sure. What do you guys knows about that. Thanks :)

 We are looking for a new house & our realtor said it has been extended for military.  We don't qualify though because we're not first time buyers.  Look at VA's website and it should give you some info about it being extended or google Military homebuyer's credit. 

Non military homebuyer's credit is no longer available.  You had to be in contract by April 30.  I think you have until the end of June to close though.
